₦1bn Power Boost: Ogun Waterside Indigene, Demola Andu Hails Yayi, Predicts New Era of Prosperity for Ogun
An Overseas based indigene of Ibiade in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State, Mr. Demola Andu, popularly known as “The Bridge”, has commended the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, over the announcement of a ₦1 billion electrification intervention for Ogun Waterside.
Andu described the development as a major breakthrough capable of addressing the long-standing electricity challenges confronting communities in the riverine local government and stimulating socio-economic growth in the area.
According to him, the intervention further demonstrates Senator Adeola’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people and bringing relief to communities across the state.
He expressed optimism that the project, which is expected to commence within the next 24 hours, would positively impact businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and other sectors that depend heavily on stable power supply for growth and productivity.
The diaspora-based philanthropist noted that residents of Ogun Waterside had every reason to celebrate the intervention, describing it as a significant step towards improving living conditions and expanding economic opportunities within the council area.
Andu said Senator Adeola had consistently shown concern for the welfare of the masses, adding that the people of Ogun State would experience “true and sincere democratic governance” if the APC governorship candidate emerges victorious in the 2027 election.
He therefore called on residents of Ogun Waterside and the people of Ogun State at large to rally support for Senator Adeola, his running mate and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming elections.
He also urged members of the communities expected to benefit from the intervention to cooperate with contractors and relevant authorities to ensure the smooth execution and timely completion of the project.
According to him, the ₦1 billion electrification initiative represents another strategic development effort that would contribute significantly to the overall progress and economic transformation of Ogun Waterside and Ogun State in general.
