HON. ADEWALE SHOKOYA
NDC Senatorial Candidate, Ogun East | “Ready to Serve”
“Bringing the Dividends of Democracy to the People of Ogun East”

Ogun East deserves more than promises. It deserves representation that shows up, listens, and delivers. That is why Hon. Adewale Shokoya is stepping forward as the NDC candidate for Senate.

1. Ready to Serve, Not Just to Speak
For years, our communities in Ijebu, Remo, and the coastal towns have watched while needs piled up: bad roads that ruin cars and businesses, youth unemployment that drains hope, under-equipped health centers, and schools struggling for basic resources. Hon. Shokoya believes representation is not a title. It is duty.

His mantra is simple: “Ready to Serve”. That means an open-door office in every LGA. It means quarterly town halls where you, not party executives, set the agenda. It means constituency funds tracked publicly so every naira can be accounted for.

2. Bringing the Dividends of Democracy Home
“Dividends of democracy” should not be a campaign slogan. In Ogun East under Hon. Shokoya’s plan, it becomes reality:

Infrastructure & Trade

  • Push for completion and rehabilitation of critical federal roads linking Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Ikenne, Odogbolu, and the coastal axis. Good roads = lower cost of goods + more investors.
  • Advocate for the Ogun East Special Economic Zone to leverage our proximity to Lagos ports and attract factories, cold storage, and agro-processing plants.

Youths & Jobs

  • Launch the Ogun East Skills & Enterprise Fund through NDC legislative backing. Grants and low-interest loans for artisans, tech skills, fashion, carpentry, welding, and agribusiness.
  • Partner with federal agencies and private sector to site ICT hubs and vocational centers in every senatorial district. Our youths will build apps, not just chase visas.

Health & Education

  • Lobby for upgrade of primary health centers with solar power, maternity wards, and drug revolving funds. No mother should travel 2 hours in labor.
  • Champion increased federal allocation for public schools + teacher training. Add ICT labs and scholarships for indigent but brilliant students.

Agriculture & Coastal Economy

  • Ogun East feeds Ogun State. Hon. Shokoya will push for mechanization support, access to improved seedlings, and market linkages for cassava, poultry, and fish farmers.
  • For our riverine communities: lobby for jetty rehabilitation, boat safety, and post-harvest storage so fishers keep more profit.

Security & Inclusion

  • Work with federal security agencies for better community policing and intelligence in our rural areas.
  • Ensure women, persons with disabilities, and market women have direct voice in constituency projects. No one gets left behind.

3. Why Hon. Adewale Shokoya, Why NDC
Hon. Shokoya is not new to service. He has spent years organizing at the grassroots, solving small problems before they become big ones. He understands that laws made in Abuja only matter when they change life in Ago-Iwoye, Iperu, Epe boundary, and Makun.

The NDC stands for people-first politics. Not godfather politics. Hon. Shokoya carries that DNA: accountable, accessible, and aggressive on development.

4. The Pledge to Ogun East
If elected, Hon. Adewale Shokoya pledges:

  1. Presence – Monthly constituency reports and town halls. You will know what he is doing in the Senate.
  2. Projects – Priority to roads, health, education, and youth jobs. No abandoned projects.
  3. Partnership – Work across party lines to bring federal projects to Ogun East. Our people are bigger than party colors.
  4. Protection – Defend the interests of farmers, traders, students, and artisans in every bill and budget debate.

Ogun East has the brains, the land, the hustle, and the heritage. What we need now is a Senator who will convert that potential into prosperity.

Hon. Adewale Shokoya – Ready to Serve
NDC – For Ogun East, For Progress
Bringing the Dividends of Democracy to Our People

This is our time, Ogun East. Let’s elect a servant, not just a senator.
