REMO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY BYE-ELECTION: PDP CANDIDATE, BOLARINWA OLUWOLE, LOSES POLLING UNIT TO HIS BROTHER.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Remo Federal Constituency bye-election, Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole (ABO Remo), faced a major blow on Saturday as he lost both his polling unit and a co polling booth in his traditional stronghold.

At Ward 7, Unit 009, Isalẹ Ijagba—where ABO casted his vote—he secured just 11 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr. Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji, polled an emphatic 91 votes. At the co polling booth within the LG Primary School, Isalẹ Ijagba, ABO again trailed with 32 votes, compared to APC’s commanding 151 votes.

In a dramatic twist, the loss was compounded by the role of ABO’s own brother, Oyeleke Folajuwon Oluwole, an APC House of Representatives 2025 Bye-election aspirant and Senior Special Assistant to the governor, who played a key role in mobilizing voters that ensured APC’s landslide victory in the area.

The result highlights APC’s growing dominance in Remo Federal Constituency and signals a significant setback for the PDP in the bye-election.
